Welcome to DOS Annual Conference – “OphthaVaganza 2014”!!

Dear Friends,

Greetings from Delhi Ophthalmological Society.

We wish to invite you to our 65th Annual Conference that is scheduled to be held from 11th to 13th April 2014 at Hotel Ashok, Chankayapuri, Delhi. This Conference will bring together practitioners, researchers and educators from India and abroad who are engaged in state of art ophthalmic academic work. The Conference will continue its aim of imparting medical education in the best possible manner in its various sessions. Together with the stallwarts in the field of ophthalmology from across the country and outside, we are planning an inspirational program in true Indian tradition.

The Delhi Ophthalmological Society is the Largest State Society in India with over 7500 members. The theme of the Annual Conference this year is `Ophthavaganza’ which aptly showcases confluence of some great innovators, leaders and visionaries to shape the future of ophthalmology. It will be a three-day celebration of ophthalmology featuring the best works from the fields of cataract, Refractive surgery, Cornea, Glaucoma, Strabismus, Neuroophthalmology and Oculoplasty. The diverse program will feature plenary lectures, symposia, instruction courses, hands on wet labs and live surgery demonstration. A special session for young ophthalmologists will be a special addition to our diverse program.

Delhi, the Capital city of India is a modern metropolis with all the world-class facilities and a grand historical legacy. The city's importance lies not just in its past glory as the seat of empires and magnificent monuments, but also in the rich and diverse cultures. It has many monuments and breathtaking sightseeing places. It is a modern city with state-of-art facilities with a beautiful airport and the best of hotels to stay in. Apart from these, Delhi is known for its hospitality towards its guests.
